Pasta with Pesto Sauce

Pesto (Italian pronunciation: [ˈpesto]) is a sauce originating in Genoa in the Liguria region of northern Italy. Pesto sauce is one of my favorite sauce for pasta or noodle.
Lets see how to prepare wonderful Pasta with Pesto sauce.


  • Ingredients:-
  • Walnuts - 30 gm
  • Pine nuts - 40 gm
  • Garlic - 5 cloves (Chopped)
  • Fresh Basil leaves - 120 gm 
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper - 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Olive oil - 350 ml
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 90 gm
  • Spaghetti Pasta - 375 gm
Preparations:-
  1. Grind walnuts, pine nuts, and garlic in a food processor  for 30 seconds.
  2. Add basil leaves, salt & pepper. Then add olive oil. Grind until pesto is finely pureed.
  3. Add Parmesan cheese & puree for a minute.
  4. To store pesto sauce. Cover sauce with a thin film of olive oil on top and keep it refrigerated.
  5. Boil Spaghetti in the boiling water. Drain water & transfer to a large bowl.
  6. Add the pesto sauce & toss. Serve Hot.
